In the modern world , there are so many things whizzing around all the time that it can be difficult just to keep track of it all , much less define and analyze it . What makes something a Technology ? . Does it have to have buttons, circuits, whirligigs , and light-up LEDs that shine to the beat of the music ? . Or can it include things like spiritual sciences , breakthrus in qi meridian mapping , new things that psychics can only do with a magnetoencephalogram strapped to their heads ? . Is Language a Technology ? . What about Hemi-Sync and Remote Viewing ? . Then , is Psychokinesis a technology ? . And the many, many things you can do by Reaching Into Their Pineal Gland And Picking Them Up Like A Cat . It•s time to start looking at Technology with a much wider paintbrush .
In a world of ergonomics and haptics , with robots shaped like humans to make them more appealing to humans , in a world of E-Z-GO and Calisthenics , technologies are becoming simpler and easier to use . Hot-Swappable, Plug-and-Play, HDMI and Wireless , we have loads of technologies designed to click together with one use and make life une-cent(100) times easier . What happens , then , when this world collides with the dark, dim, difficult world of Psi ? . When you no longer need to wait a week for the Focus to return from the Locus so you can assess their Hocus Pocus . What happens when you can know for sure if your grip on their brain is working , because your team has finally managed to reverse-engineer machines for reading the barium sulfide particles in the air by the trace electrical signals they give off , so that you can see the jurors in the deliberation room , in real time , without the need for cameras at all ? . What happens when Technology means what you can prevent , not what you can produce ? .

A tidal wave is coming . If it were a tidal wave of water caused by an earthquake , it would make the Weather . If it were a tidal wave of locusts fueled by a dust bowl , it would make the weather . As soon as it•s humans , tho , exhibiting Swarm traits , suddenly it isn•t part of Nature anymore . We are talking about a tsunami of Hogwartz applicants who•ve been trained in their dreams , psychics once confined to cold concrete rooms now having access to the comfiest psychic schools in Rwanda , a century of suppressed, forbidden science now ready to overwhelm the banks of the pathetic humans with their Knobometers and The Machine That Goes Ping , who for all of their NOAA OSInt couldn't tell you where to figure out if there had been any solar storms in the sunspot index this week .

People constantly ask , "If Time Travel exists , why don•t we just go back in time and stop Hitler•s parents from having kids?" . What if there was an answer to that , being that 1945 AD was just barely out of reach of the future•s Retrocasters , but that millions of students would eventually learn and internalize this quandary in the public schools of the future , leading to an entire workforce of people working professionally at Retrocasters like the Call Centres of the Future ? . This is the point we are at now , with the Youth Gun Procedural Kill-Chain we have seen firmly entrenched and established in the past decade now as well-rutted as the wheelbarrow tracks of a recently-corporatized family farm . And that this problem is going to get worse , much worse , if it gets better at all , the closer we get to the point where these technologies can be purchased at Canadian Tire . We are rapidly approaching a world where Retrocasters are the new Playstation and everyone and their cousin can get right in there and start distracting the past , and their past means our present , which might be why the world is such a fucking mess right now .
